After a triumphant inaugural season in 2024, YaLLa Esports, the premier esports media company and tournament organizer in the UAE, is bringing back YaLLa Compass with even greater ambition in 2025. This year’s tournament will feature two S-Tier LAN events across the MENA region, boasting a massive $1.5 million prize pool, significantly increased from the previous year’s $450,000.
The 2024 season of YaLLa Compass captured a global audience with over 50 million views and 5 million+ watch hours across its broadcasts. The tournament’s reach extended to 30 international broadcasts in 15 languages, solidifying its position as a global esports spectacle.
Klaus Kajetski, founder and CEO of YaLLa Esports, expressed his enthusiasm: “Building on the remarkable growth of esports in MENA in 2024 and the success of the first Compass season, YaLLa Compass promises an even grander experience for both players and spectators. With an increased prize pool, two LAN events, and a continued emphasis on delivering a truly global esports experience, YaLLa Compass is cementing its status as an S-tier tournament not only in the MENA region but also on the international stage.”
The inaugural LAN event was a resounding success, attracting over 2,000 attendees and featuring top-tier Counter-Strike 2 talent, including 12 global elite teams and a local Abu Dhabi team, Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Open qualifiers for the 2025 season commence on July 29th, with two more planned for Q4 2024 and Q1 2025. Teams will progress through a closed qualifier stage leading up to the first LAN event, scheduled to take place at landmark locations in Q2 2025.
