Al-Futtaim Toyota has unveiled the highly anticipated fifth-generation Land Cruiser Prado in the United Arab Emirates, marking over 70 years of the Land Cruiser’s legacy as a rugged and reliable 4×4.
Building on the proven capability of the Land Cruiser family, the new Prado is built on the same body-on-frame Toyota New Global Architecture GA-F platform as the Land Cruiser 300 Series. This platform offers a 50% increase in frame rigidity and a 30% increase in overall rigidity, translating to superior handling and a smoother ride on all terrains. Powering the new Prado is a 2.4-liter turbo gasoline engine that produces 267 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, providing a strong balance between power and fuel efficiency.

When venturing off-road, the Prado’s advanced all-terrain support systems come into play. A two Differential Lock System (central and rear) enhances off-road capability by distributing power evenly to all wheels when tackling rough terrain. The Prado also features six driving modes, including a new AUTO mode that intelligently adjusts to various terrains such as sand, rock, dirt, and mud. Drivers can take advantage of the Crawl Control function for additional control on challenging inclines or declines.
The Land Cruiser Prado has always been known for its user-friendly interior design, and the new generation is no exception. The cabin prioritizes comfort and convenience for both driver and passengers. Features like wireless charging, a 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, and a color head-up display ensure a connected and informative driving experience. Tri-zone automatic air conditioning with rear AC vents keeps everyone comfortable on long journeys, while multi-adjustable power and ventilated front and second-row seats provide exceptional comfort. Passengers will also appreciate the 60/40 split and reclining second-row seats, and the fully flat-folding third-row seats offer additional cargo space when needed.

Safety remains a top priority for Al-Futtaim Toyota, and the all-new Land Cruiser Prado comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies. This system includes features like Pre-Collision System (PCS) with extended capabilities for intersection collision avoidance support, Acceleration Suppression to prevent unintended acceleration at low speeds, and Emergency Steering Assist. The Prado is also equipped with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Full-Speed Range, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) for enhanced highway driving.

In addition to Toyota Safety Sense, the new Prado boasts a robust array of other safety features to protect occupants in various driving conditions. These features include 8 SRS airbags, including side-curtain airbags for all three rows, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), Parking Support Brake (PKSB), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Multi-terrain Monitor (MTM) including Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Safe Exit Assist (SEA), Downhill Assist Control (DAC), Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS), Drive Start Control (DSC), driver and front passenger seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, and a clearance sonar featuring eight sensors located in the front and rear bumpers.

Available in eight distinctive exterior colors, including a new Sand color with a light grey roof option, the all-new Land Cruiser Prado allows customers to express their individuality. The interior is available in a choice of Dark Chestnut, Black, or Chateau, and the vehicle comes equipped with a choice of two designs of 18-inch alloy wheels, one optimized for off-road performance and the other prioritizing style and practicality.
