Dyson has announced the consumer launch of its Supersonic r™ hair dryer, previously only available to professional stylists. The Supersonic r™ is Dyson’s most powerful and lightest hair dryer to date, designed for precision drying and enhanced shine.
The hair dryer features a streamlined heater, the Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor, and intelligent Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) sensors in attachments that communicate with the dryer to adjust airflow and temperature. It is 30% smaller and 20% lighter than the original Supersonic™ hair dryer.

Developed with input from professional stylists, the Supersonic r™ has been praised for its maneuverability, comfort, and precision. It has become a popular tool among renowned stylists like Sam McKnight, Eugene Souleiman, and Lacy Redway.
The Supersonic r™ will be available in two new colors: Ceramic Pink and Jasper Plum (exclusive to dyson.ae and dyson.sa). The launch coincides with Paris Fashion Week, where Dyson has a long history of collaborations and events.
In addition to the product launch, Dyson is introducing a Styling Menu at select Dyson Demo stores, offering customers the opportunity to learn about trending hairstyles and how to achieve them using Dyson hair care technology. The menu will feature five signature looks curated by Dyson’s Global Styling Ambassadors.

The Supersonic r™ joins Dyson’s existing hair dryer lineup, which includes the original Supersonic™, the Supersonic Neural™ for scalp care, the Airwrap™ multi-styler, the Airstrait™ wet-to-dry straightener, and the Corrale™ straightener with flexing plates.
The Dyson Supersonic r™ is priced at AED 1,999 or SAR 1,999 and is available at Dyson Demo stores and online at dyson.ae and dyson.sa.
