amsung has opened pre-orders in the UAE for its next generation of Odyssey gaming monitors, expanding its display lineup with a focus on immersive visuals and high-performance gaming features. The new 2025 Odyssey series includes the Odyssey 3D, the OLED G8, and the ultra-wide Odyssey G9. Also announced is the ViewFinity S8, a 37-inch 4K monitor targeting professionals. The rollout aligns with Dubai’s broader push to become a global gaming hub under the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033.
Leading the lineup is the Odyssey 3D (G90XF), a 27-inch monitor that introduces a glasses-free 3D gaming experience. Using eye-tracking and lenticular lens technology, the monitor produces a stereoscopic effect for real-time 3D visuals. Samsung is partnering with developers such as Nexon and Neowiz to optimize upcoming titles like The First Berserker: Khazan and Lies of P: Overture for this 3D experience. AI video conversion further expands the appeal by converting standard video content into 3D in real time.
On the performance side, the Odyssey 3D supports 4K resolution at a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility ensure fluid visuals, while ambient edge lighting reacts to on-screen content, enhancing immersion.
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) arrives in 27- and 32-inch formats, with the 27-inch model claiming the industry’s highest pixel density for its size. It’s also the first 4K OLED gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate. Built with QD-OLED technology, the screen offers a near-infinite contrast ratio and vibrant color performance, supported by VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification. A proprietary cooling system and OLED burn-in safeguards aim to improve panel longevity without compromising brightness.
Samsung also introduces the updated Odyssey G9, a 49-inch Dual QHD curved display with a 1000R curvature. Built for immersive multitasking and competitive gameplay, it offers features like Picture-in-Picture and Auto Source Switch+ while maintaining strong performance with 144Hz refresh, 1ms response, and HDR10+ GAMING certification.
For users seeking productivity tools, Samsung has added the ViewFinity S8 (S80UD), its largest 16:9 4K display to date at 37 inches. Designed for creative professionals and multitaskers, it supports 1 billion colors and includes ergonomic adjustments, USB-C connectivity, and KVM switching for streamlined workflows.
Pre-orders for the Odyssey 3D, OLED G8, and G9 are open through May 12 on Samsung.com in the UAE. Customers placing orders within this window are eligible for an additional 10% discount. The monitors are scheduled to hit retail in the coming weeks.
