Oppo’s upcoming Find X8S smartphone has been teased in a recent promotional video, revealing key design elements and positioning it as a contender in the premium smartphone market. The device, slated for launch next month, appears to emphasize a slim and lightweight profile, placing it in direct competition with devices like the vivo X200 mini, Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, and Apple iPhone 17 Air.
The promotional video, featuring Oppo Director for Flagships Zhou Yibao, showcased the front of the Find X8S, while also providing a glimpse of its dimensions. Actor Li Xian was also seen handling the device, offering a view of its rear design, which includes a small circular camera island.

The Find X8S maintains the design language of other smartphones in the Find X8 series, featuring a centered circular camera module with the LED flash positioned in the top left corner. This design choice aligns with the established aesthetic of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro models, and presumably the Find X8 Ultra.
One of the key design highlights is the device’s slim profile. According to the video, the Find X8S measures just 7.7 mm in thickness and weighs 173 grams. This focus on a lightweight and thin design is intended to appeal to users seeking a portable and ergonomic smartphone.
The Find X8S is expected to feature minimal bezels, contributing to a modern and immersive display experience. Internally, reports indicate that the device will be powered by a Dimensity 9400+ chipset, featuring a 3.7 GHz CPU. This chipset is intended to provide performance capabilities for demanding applications and tasks.
The focus on thinness and weight, along with the high end chipset, indicate that Oppo is trying to create a device that competes in the thin and light phone market, while maintaining high performance. This is a very competitive market, and Oppo is trying to make a device that can compete with the top devices from other manufacturers.
