Nubia has unveiled its latest foldable phone, the Flip 2, marking the first foldable phone launch of 2025. The successor to the original Nubia Flip, which debuted in April of last year, arrives with several notable improvements and a refined design.
One of the most significant changes in the Flip 2 is the cover screen. Departing from the circular design of its predecessor, the Flip 2 features a rectangular 3-inch display with a resolution of 422 x 682 pixels. This larger, more conventional cover screen allows users to conveniently access frequently used apps, check notifications, and perform other tasks without needing to unfold the phone.
The main display remains a 6.9-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, offering a smooth and immersive viewing experience. The Flip 2 retains the dual-camera system of its predecessor, featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front-facing camera is discreetly positioned within a punch-hole cutout on the main display.

Powering the Flip 2 is the MediaTek Dimensity D7300X processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. While not the most powerful configuration on the market, it should provide ample performance for everyday tasks and moderate usage.
Nubia has improved the Flip 2’s durability with the addition of IPX2 water resistance and IP4X dust resistance. This means the phone can withstand light splashes and exposure to dust, offering users greater peace of mind. Security features include both face recognition and fingerprint recognition, providing users with multiple options for securing their device.
The Nubia Flip 2 is currently available in Japan, priced at ¥64,080 (approximately $406 USD). It comes in a single 6GB RAM/128GB storage configuration and is offered in Black, White, and Blue color options.
