The Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro have been officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC), introducing updates to the company’s mid-range smartphone lineup. These devices place a focus on camera improvements and the integration of AI-driven features.
Both the Phone 3a and 3a Pro feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPS flexible display, protected by Panda Glass. The displays offer a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The devices maintain a consistent design aesthetic, with the signature transparent rear panel.
Under the hood, the phones are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, running Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15. This combination is intended to support the phones’ AI capabilities.

Camera systems have received attention in this iteration. The Phone 3a features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is 32MP. The Phone 3a Pro enhances the camera system with a circular triple camera array, featuring a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope Sony LTY-600 sensor with 3x optical zoom. The Pro model includes a 50MP sensor with AI-driven clarity enhancements, enabling a 60x ultra zoom.
Both models are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 50W fast charging. The company states that the battery can reach a 50% charge in under 20 minutes.

A new action button, referred to as the “Essential Key,” has been introduced, triggering an AI-powered hub called “Essential Space.” This feature allows users to capture and send content, record voice notes, and access saved content.
Nothing has committed to providing six years of updates for these devices, including three years of Android updates and six years of security updates. These updates are expected to include enhancements to the AI hub.
The Phone 3a is available in black, white, and a blue color variant (select regions). The Phone 3a Pro is offered in grey and black. Storage options include 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB configurations.
