Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted at the release of a new device in the company’s Air lineup this week. While Cook did not specify which device will be launched, speculation suggests it is likely a new MacBook Air.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple is preparing to launch 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models with an upgraded M4 chip. This timing aligns with the release of the M3 MacBook Air around the same time last year.
However, there are other possibilities for the new Air device. Gurman also mentioned that Apple planned to release new iPad Air models and keyboards close to the launch of the iPhone 16E, which occurred last month. Recent reports indicate that Apple is reducing iPad Air inventory, suggesting a new product launch is imminent.
While there have been rumors of a new iPhone “Air” model, it is probably too early for an announcement.
Apple’s Air lineup is known for its lightweight and portable devices, including the MacBook Air and iPad Air. The addition of a new device to this lineup suggests that Apple is continuing to focus on portability and user experience.
