Microsoft Teams Rooms is introducing new features to transform meeting spaces into dynamic communication hubs, incorporating digital signage and advanced AI capabilities to enhance hybrid work environments.
When not actively used for meetings, displays can now function in signage mode, broadcasting company information, announcements, or multimedia content. Integration with content management systems (CMS) like Appspace and XOGO allows for streamlined management of Teams Rooms devices and content.
AI-powered features, driven by Copilot, will provide intelligent meeting recaps and action items, improving information retention and productivity. Speaker recognition technology will isolate individual voices, even in noisy environments, enhancing communication for both in-person and remote participants.
IntelliFrame technology optimizes remote attendee engagement by individually framing participants and automatically switching camera angles for the best view.
Microsoft is also improving the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) meeting room experience with features like shared display mode and intelligent audio. IT administrators gain enhanced remote management capabilities through the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal.
To foster cross-platform collaboration, Microsoft is expanding SIP compatibility, enabling Teams Rooms to seamlessly connect with third-party conferencing services like Google Meet, Zoom, and Cisco Webex.
