Apple’s rumored 10th-anniversary Apple Watch redesign, potentially dubbed the “Apple Watch X,” is taking shape with leaked CAD renders sourced by 91mobiles. These images suggest a larger model featuring a 2-inch display, a significant jump from the current 1.7-inch Series 9 and even surpassing the Apple Watch Ultra’s 1.93-inch screen.
While the overall dimensions of 46 x 39.7 x 11.6mm indicate a size increase compared to the Series 9, it remains smaller than the Ultra. The renders show a design familiar to the Series 9, with a Digital Crown, Side button, and square display, leaving out Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s prediction of a magnetic band attachment system.
Gurman had previously reported on the potential “Apple Watch X” launch in 2024 or 2025, marking the device’s 10th anniversary. This aligns with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s claims of a thinner Series 10 with larger display options, possibly reaching 49mm, matching the Apple Watch Ultra’s case size.
While the accuracy of these renders remains uncertain, Apple’s traditional September launch timeframe alongside the iPhone lineup suggests we might soon see the official unveiling. Potential features for the 2024 Apple Watch model include blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea detection, further enhancing the device’s health tracking capabilities.
