Honor has just unleashed its latest flagship smartphone, the Magic 7 Pro, in China.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro boasts a triple camera system with a combined pixel count of 300MP. The main camera features a large 50MP sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a massive 200MP telephoto lens. This impressive camera setup is further enhanced by Honor’s Image Engine 3.0, which includes advanced algorithms for optimizing image quality and capturing stunning portraits.
Building on its previous success with silicon-carbon battery technology, Honor has equipped the Magic 7 Pro with a third-generation silicon-carbon battery boasting a capacity of 5,850 mAh. This translates to extended usage time and fewer worries about running out of juice. The device also supports both 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging, ensuring minimal downtime.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which promises flagship-level performance and efficiency. Early benchmarks suggest that this chipset could rival Apple’s A-series chips, making the Magic 7 Pro a true contender in the high-end smartphone market.
The Magic 7 Pro features a 6.82-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The display also incorporates various eye-care features for comfortable viewing. The phone’s design retains the elegant aesthetics of its predecessor, with a refined curved back and a circular camera housing.
The Magic 7 Pro runs on MagicOS 9.0, Honor’s latest Android 14-based user interface. This updated software introduces a fully functional smart assistant called YOYO, designed to assist with daily tasks and provide a more intuitive user experience. The phone also includes an AI Deep Fake detection feature to help identify spam and fake calls.
For those seeking an even more exclusive experience, Honor is also releasing a Porsche Design edition of the Magic 7 Pro. This special edition features design elements inspired by the Porsche Taycan Turbo S sports car, along with a hexagonal camera design and a durable anti-scratch coating.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro starts at 5699 yuan (around $799) for the 12/256GB version in China. While global availability and pricing have yet to be announced, the Magic 7 Pro is expected to launch in other markets later this year or early next year.
