Samsung just announced their new Galaxy S23 models and as expected, they look stunning. The first thing you notice when you pick is the big and colorful screen, that’s 6.8 inches of QHD+ Edge display. Unlocking and gliding your fingers over the screen, there’s no delay 120Hz refresh rate with absolutely no lag at all to the naked eye. I am sure daily tasks will feel effortless on that screen and when I want to gear up, it jumps to 240Hz touch sampling rate in Game Mode.
The phone feels light with its plastic back weighing in at 234g only. Being a big phone it doesn’t feel that bulky in hand, credit to its edge-to-edge (no bezel) display. It’s a major workaholic too with the new 2nd Gen Snapdragon 8 processor.
The Cameras
I got to experience its four rear cameras. Starting with the 12MP Ultra-Wide camera, I noticed that photos were much clearer with less distortion in the edges. 10MP Telephoto camera gives 3x optical zoom. There’s another 10MP Telephoto Camera with 10x Optical Zoom for even better no-loss zoomed photos. The hero is the 200MP Wide Camera with an Adaptive Pixel sensor that shoots crisp and hella detailed. There are improved Nightography capabilities that transform how the Galaxy S optimized photos and videos in a wide range of conditions. The new AI-powered image signal processing (ISP) works on enhancing object details and color tone.
The full review will be coming soon to witness the magic yourself.
Processor
It’s a state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for Galaxy. In my brief usage of the phone, I did not find any lag whatsoever that’s including running multiple apps in the background. Gamers and creators would love the performance of the S23 Ultra with its graphics performance which is 40 percent better compared to its predecessors.
Cannot wait to test this beast to its limits in our full review.
Memory and Battery
Will be coming in two variations that are 12GB RAM with 1TB Storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB Storage. It will come with a large battery size of 5000 mAh.
Charging Power
It can change up to 65% charge in around 30 mins with a 45W adapter and a USB-C cable. That’s quite impressive given the battery size is 5000mAh.
It also comes with Fast Wireless Charging 2.0
The S-pen
Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with an embedded S-Pen which many users love and has gotten even better in recent years.
