CES 2025: Lili screen aims to enhance reading for dyslexic users

French startup Lili for Life has unveiled an innovative monitor designed to assist individuals with dyslexia at CES 2025. The Lili screen, a 27-inch monitor, builds upon the company’s previous work with the Lili lamp, further expanding its efforts to support dyslexic users.

The Lili screen incorporates an intelligent system that automatically activates a dyslexia-friendly mode when connected to a compatible PC. This mode utilizes subtle light flashes to enhance text perception and reading comprehension for dyslexic individuals.

The technology behind the Lili screen is based on research by French physicists Albert Le Floch and Guy Ropars, who discovered that dyslexic individuals often have two dominant eyes, leading to overlapping “mirror” images in the brain during reading. The Lili screen’s light flashes aim to correct this overlap, resulting in smoother and less tiring reading experiences.

Lili for Life hopes that the Lili screen will empower dyslexic individuals by enhancing their reading abilities and reducing the cognitive strain associated with dyslexia. The monitor is currently available for purchase in Europe and the UK, with plans to expand to the United States in the future.
