Bosch has unveiled an AI-enabled bassinet at CES 2025 that promises to track virtually every aspect of a baby’s sleep, potentially offering both comfort and anxiety to new parents. Dubbed the Revol, this sensor-laden crib monitors everything from heart rate and respiration to environmental factors like temperature and air quality.
While the Revol may resemble other smart bassinets like the Snoo, it distinguishes itself with its vertical movement, gently raising and lowering the mattress like a miniature elevator. However, the real innovation lies in its integrated baby monitor and advanced sensor array.
Comprehensive Monitoring and AI Features
The Revol’s built-in baby monitor provides a live video feed to caregivers, while its sensors track a wealth of data. A millimeter wave radar sensor accurately measures the baby’s heart rate and respiration, sending real-time stats and health reports to a companion app. Environmental sensors monitor temperature, humidity, and even air quality.
Adding to its futuristic appeal, the Revol incorporates AI-powered features. Computer vision technology detects if objects, such as blankets or stuffed animals, are near the baby’s face, alerting parents to potential dangers.
Availability and Pricing
While the Revol boasts an impressive feature set, expecting parents will need to exercise patience. Bosch plans to launch the bassinet in the Chinese market first, with a US release slated for sometime in 2026. The company aims to price the Revol around $1,200, with optional add-ons that can convert the crib into a changing table and desk for extended use.
