Atari and Digital Eclipse are expanding the acclaimed Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection with a new edition, adding 39 games and two new timelines to the already extensive collection. The Expanded Edition is set to release on October 25 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5, as well as for the Atari VCS this holiday.
The physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS5 will include a special steelbook edition for Switch, packed with extras like Atari 2600 art cards, miniature arcade marquee signs, and a replica Al Alcorn Syzygy Co. business card.
Existing owners of Atari 50 can access the new content as downloadable content later this year.

It includes new interviews, vintage ads, and historical artifacts, offering a comprehensive look at the company’s impact on the industry.
The second timeline, “The First Console War,” includes 20 playable games and six video segments, chronicling the intense competition between the Atari 2600 and Mattel’s Intellivision. It features interviews with industry veterans who were involved in this pivotal moment in gaming history.
With the addition of 39 new games, Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition brings the total number of games to 154, offering a vast collection of Atari’s iconic titles.
The standard version will retail for $39.99 / £31.50, while the steelbook edition will be priced at $49.99 / £39.40.
