Me: I’m never leaving the Apple Ecosystem.
Me: Android is so ahead man. Really loving the flexibility to get stuff done.
Okay, so I have been using Huawei Nova 4 for few days now. After a long time using an Android phone as my personal device. What was stopping me? Honestly, the Apple ecosystem. But now after forcing myself to use this device as my main smartphone, things are looking better than I expected. The processor is fast enough. The camera is amazing. For people switching to an Android from Apple may face some difficulty for the first few hours. But give it some time, it shall pass.

To start let me talk about the things I absolutely love about Huawei Novo 4.
The Display (and that punch hole)
Talking about the specs don’t matter. The most important thing is that the Display should look nice. The colors should be vivid and pleasing to the eye. Bezel-less. This phone checks out all the boxes. For 1799 AED, it’s a great screen. After some tweaking in the setting, I was able to achieve the colors and temperature to my liking.

Huawei EMUI
“Fluid” is the right name for it. The OS just works like butter. I have not experienced any hiccups so far. There are so many great features to talk about here. Let me give you an example of a few like the AppAssistant feature in which I can set up which apps use the full potential of the processor. I tested it with a few games and it worked just fine. I mostly keep it on for photo and video editing apps where I need the processor to throttle. Another great feature I found was App Twin. This one may sound like a small feature but it is so powerful. It allows one device to simultaneously login to two different accounts of the same social media or gaming platform. This can be a valuable feature for anyone who is into managing brands. I will test out ZenUI completely and talk more about it in my full review.

Camera(s)
With my limited time testing the cameras on Huawei, it really takes it up a notch for mid range phones. Huawei boasts about their selfie camera being the hero feature of the Nova series and they are not wrong. Selfie camera works as advertised with subtle beauty effect. I generally keep the beauty effect to zero and it still produces pretty amazing results. to test out the AI camera to its full potential I will need more time. But for what it’s worth, it just works. I tried it with portrait, food and night scene, and the camera quite quickly recognized the scene and makes the appropriate setting change to bring out the best photo result. Stay tuned for my full review for the full camera review.
That Marvelous back color
For this one, writing or showing photos of it won’t do justice to how gorgeous the back looks. You must hold it to appreciate its beauty.

I think the above features are enough for me to keep using this device. I will definitely go more in details spec wise in my full review coming soon. So stay tuned.
