The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro packs a powerful and unique gaming-focused set of features and settings that puts it in the top tier of True Wireless earbuds in the market.
Design
Razer’s updated Hammerhead line has now adopted the in-ear design with its Razer logo on each earbud in a black and green color combo. The earbuds look super sleek with a matte finish. The charging case matches the earbuds’ looks and charge through a USB-C port. The Hammerhead True Wireless Pro also come with a charging cable and silicone tips (6 pairs) out of the box, including a Comply foam pair.
Features and Performance
Esthetics aside, Razer focused on many features to attract mobile gamers to its latest product, specially the problem of Latency in mobile gaming. Razer claims 60 milliseconds latency with their Gaming Mode turned on, which actually works well when tested. The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro also comes with ANC, and THX-tuned sound.
The Hammerhead Pro also packs a bunch of touch controls through single, double and triple taps which will give users control over a variety or actions like play/pause, reject/answer calls, activate voice assistant, skip tracks, and switch on/off ANC and latency settings. Yes, it’s a a lot to go through, and you might need some time to do all the actions, but with a little bit of practice, you’ll get the hang of it. The Hammerhead Pro can also be setup and controlled though its App, which is well distend and packs some nice features like EQ settings and sound enhancements / calibration options.
Razer has partnered with THX for this version, and the result is truly stunning! The pair provide a balanced sound with a nice touch of bass. The results are very impressive, and the Hammerheads will sound great on basically every music genre, with tons of detail and sound accuracy. When it comes to the ANC part, we honestly think Razer could have done a bit better. The ANC feature on the Hammerhead Pro is good, but in certain scenarios, doesn’t do the job as expected.
Battery wise, the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro will last four hours with ANC switched ON, and the case will give you an additional 16 hours of charging power.
Verdict
The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro does a great job in terms of sound quality, build and features which will definitely appeal to the gamers.
