Play, the Indian startup promising quality accessories and gadgets at competitive pricing has officially launched in the UAE.
The PlayGo BH70 AI Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones is a new product launched to compete with the big boys and priced considerably at more affordable price. Is it worth your money? Let’s check it out and see if it’s worth your money.

PLAYGO BH70: Design & Build
The BH70 is very well built and feels very solid in the hand and comfortable when placed over the ears. The headband is light weight (300 grams) and flexible and has a layer of padding for comfortable use. The materials used are premium plastics (understandable given the price point). The BH70 ear cups can be folded up to 90 degrees. I had no issues whatsoever while wearing the headphones for a long period of time. The headphones come with a carrying case which has a pocket for the charging cable as well.

The PlayGo BH70 ear cups feature physical buttons. The right ear cup has three buttons to control music ( Volume, pause / play and skip). On the left side there’s a power button and the ANC modes switch button.
PLAYGO BH70: Quality & Experience
The sound output definitely rich and bass-heavy, with clear vocals and separation of instruments used. Volume levels are great, and can reach pretty high. All this combined with the ANC, delivers a pretty awesome environment cut from outside / ambient noise. PLAY claims to use AI algorithms which optimizes the audio output based on an individual listener’s feedback.
ANC wise, there are three different settings available: ANC on, ANC off and a Transparency mode. With ANC on, ambient noise is cut off. The transparency mode also works very well compared to other brands in the market. It basically amplifies ambient noise / surrounding noise instead of cutting it off, and gives you a sense of what is happening around you.
PLAYGO BH70: Connectivity & Features
The BH70 connects through Bluetooth 5.0 and has aptX support with built-in CVC 6.0 noise cancelling microphones & are also compatible with voice commands that can be used with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri. The BH70 also has some pretty cool tricks. There’s a proximity sensor on the left ear cup which reduces the volume of the music and switches to transparency mode when place your hand over it. Super smart feature to be honest when you are having quick conversations or want listen to something for a quick few seconds. The sensors also pause the music once removed the headphones and resumes playing when you put them back on.
PLAYGO BH70: Battery Life
The PlayGo BH70 supposedly has a battery life of 24 hours with ANC on. Couldn’t confirm the exact claimed duration, but was able to use them over 3 to 4 days with intervals of 2 to 3 hours. The BH70 charges over USB-C and takes just around 1.5 to 2 hours to completley charge.
PLAYGO BH70: The Verdict
The PlayGo BH70 offers a superb experience with the ANC, transparency mode, auto detect sensors and most of all the comfort level. The headphones offer a very good overall package if you are looking for an ANC experience without going over budget. The PlayGo BH70 is priced at AED 899 and can be found at all major retailers and online platforms.
