As the iPad grows and gets more powerful with time, users are getting more comfortable using it as a laptop replacement in a lot of instances. Personally, I ditched my MackBook Pro this summer when I traveled and relied on my iPad Pro and opted for the Logitech Combo Touch to give me a full keyboard and trackpad option.

I’ve been using the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard case with my 11-inch iPad Pro for a couple of weeks now, and here are my thoughts.
The Combo Touch comes in 2 pieces, the case and the keyboard. The entire case is relatively light and made out of soft fabric which feels great in the hand. The Logitech Combo Touch is a keyboard and trackpad case for iPad Pro. The keyboard is magnetically detachable and reversible.
With the case on, the iPad is protected all around with an opening for the Apple Pencil on the right side / Top depending how you are holding the iPad. The case is raised enough to protect the screen. The left side has the Smart Connector and magnets to attached the keyboard. The keyboard is backlit and has a row of iPadOS shortcut keys on the top providing for a variety of functions like one touch volume and brightness.
The kickstand on the back of the case is very solid and doesn’t show any signs of weakening or getting flimsy over time. It can tilt up to 50-degree, which is ideal and covers mainly most angles a user is looking for.
Performance wise, the The Logitech Combo Touch has proven to be a worthy competitor to Apple’s magic keyboard, and actually out-shines it in some instances. It can be used in 4 modes:
Type Mode: Dock the keyboard upright, pull out the kickstand, and you’re ready to type out notes, emails, and more.
View Mode: Detach the keyboard and pull out the kickstand to watch movies and videos.
Sketch Mode: Fully extend the kickstand for the perfect angle to take handwritten notes and draw with Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon.
Read Mode: Detach the keyboard—or reattach it with the keys turned inward—to read books, articles, and more.
The keyboard is what we’ve come to expect from Logitech. The spacing between the keys feels natural and the travel distance is pretty good. I had no issues at all typing quickly and comfortably. You would actually get used to the layout fairly quickly and the experience becomes much better as you go.
The Combo Touch shines with its Trackpad. Logitech’s trackpad is wider than that the one on the Magic Keyboard. Moving the cursor and using the various gestures are very very comfortable and super responsive, with the ability to click on the entire surface of the touchpad, and not be limited to a specific area, this is a makes a big difference.
The Logitech Combo Touch delivers everything you’d expect, specially if you are looking for an alternative to Apple’s more expensive Magic Keyboard. Overall the Logiecth Combo Touch is premium, very conformable to use, light, and delivers a great typing experience on the iPad. We highly recommend it.
The Logitech Combo Touch is available for both the 11″ (AED 769) and 12.9″ iPad Pro (AED 879).
