Zuck drops the beat (and our jaws): listen to his “Get Low” cover with T-Pain

Hold onto your headphones, folks, because Mark Zuckerberg just unleashed his inner pop star with a cover of Lil Jon’s “Get Low,” and it’s about as unexpected as a Facebook outage on a Monday morning. Apparently, Zuck decided to surprise his wife with a personalized anniversary gift, but we’re not sure if this is the kind of surprise she was hoping for.

Teaming up with T-Pain (because who else would you call for an autotune extravaganza?), Zuckerberg, now known as “Z-Pain” (we’re not making this up), transformed the party anthem into a slow-jam ballad complete with acoustic guitar and enough autotune to make Cher jealous.

Imagine Zuckerberg’s voice, the one that usually announces new Metaverse features, crooning lyrics like “‘Til the sweat drop down my balls.” Yeah, it’s an image that’s hard to erase from your mind. T-Pain even makes a cameo, presumably to make sure things don’t get too awkward. Zuckerberg shared the masterpiece (we use that term loosely) on Instagram, explaining that “Get Low” was playing when he first met his wife. He clearly has a romantic side, but maybe sticking to classic anniversary gifts like flowers and chocolates would have been a safer bet.

While the song might not be topping the charts anytime soon, it’s definitely a contender for the “most unexpected musical collaboration of the year” award. We’re not sure what’s next for Zuck’s musical career, but we’re secretly hoping for a duet with Grimes about the Metaverse.
