Apple has announced the release of an immersive concert experience featuring Metallica, designed for Apple Vision Pro. The experience, which will be available starting March 14, 2025, was filmed in Mexico City during the band’s M72 World Tour.

The Metallica experience features performances of three songs, captured using Apple Immersive Video technology. This format utilizes 180-degree video and Spatial Audio to provide viewers with a concert experience.
Apple is offering demonstrations of Apple Vision Pro at its retail locations, where customers can preview the Metallica experience. Additionally, a new EP, “M72 World Tour: Mexico City,” will be available in Spatial Audio on Apple Music.
Apple utilized a custom stage setup with 14 Apple Immersive Video cameras to capture the band’s performance and the audience’s energy.
Apple has also announced the availability of additional Apple Immersive Video content, including new episodes of the “Adventure” and “Boundless” series, and a sports film, “VIP: Yankee Stadium.”
A special edition of “Bono: Stories of Surrender” will also be released in Apple Immersive Video on Apple Vision Pro.
Apple Vision Pro is available in several countries, and demonstrations can be scheduled online or at Apple retail stores.
