Nike has unveiled its updated road running shoe collection for 2025, featuring a redesigned Vomero 18 and a streamlined lineup focused on cushioning, responsiveness, and stability.
The Vomero 18 takes center stage as Nike’s maximum-cushioning shoe, designed for runners seeking exceptional comfort. Building upon the success of the Invincible 3, the Vomero 18 boasts an even thicker stack height (46mm) achieved through a combination of ZoomX and ReactX foams. This results in a plush and comfortable ride, ideal for logging long miles. Notably, Nike conducted extensive testing with women runners during the development of the Vomero 18.
Beyond the Vomero 18, Nike has simplified its road running collection into three core lines:
- Vomero: Maximum cushioning for a comfortable experience.
- Pegasus: Responsive cushioning for a versatile and efficient ride.
- Structure: Supportive cushioning and stability for runners who overpronate.
Each line will offer three distinct models: an “Icon” model (like the Vomero 18 or Pegasus 41), a Plus model, and a Premium model. The Pegasus 41 and Pegasus Plus are currently available, with the Pegasus Premium launching in January 2025. The Vomero 18 will be released on February 27th, 2025, with Plus and Premium versions following later in the year. New Structure models are also expected in 2025.
In addition to the core running shoe lineup, Nike introduced new apparel lines: Nike Swift for women and Nike Stride for men.
With this revamped collection, Nike aims to provide runners with a clear and comprehensive selection of shoes to meet their individual needs and preferences, whether they prioritize cushioning, responsiveness, or stability.
