Google has rolled out five new features for its Chrome mobile app on both Android and iOS, designed to make searching within the browser more efficient and intuitive.
Leading the charge is Chrome Actions, a feature that suggests relevant actions based on your search query. For example, when searching for a restaurant, you might see buttons for calling the establishment, getting directions, or reading reviews. This feature is currently available on Android and will be coming to iOS this fall.
Another enhancement is the introduction of shortcut suggestions. This feature learns from your typing habits and suggests shortcuts to your frequently visited websites based on words you typically use. It aims to streamline your search process by placing relevant sites higher in the results. This feature is already live on both Android and iOS.

iOS users will also appreciate the addition of trending searches in the address bar on new tabs, while tablet users (Android and iPad) will find a refreshed address bar that maximizes screen space. This updated bar features Material You design elements and appears as an overlay, allowing for easy return to the current webpage.
Lastly, the Discover Feed has been updated to display live sports cards, providing real-time updates on ongoing games for teams you follow or have previously shown interest in.
These new features are designed to improve the overall search experience in Chrome mobile, making it easier and faster to find the information and actions you need.
