WhatsApp is introducing new AI-powered features for businesses, enhancing customer interactions and streamlining communication. These features, currently being tested in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS, include AI-powered replies and the ability to connect the WhatsApp Business app to the Business Platform.
Businesses can now utilize AI to handle customer messages, especially outside of regular working hours. The AI can provide information about products, recommend options, and offer updates on pricing and availability.
Customers will be informed when interacting with the AI, and businesses can manually take over conversations at any time. Feedback on AI responses can be provided to Meta to improve the service’s accuracy.
The new Business Platform connection feature allows businesses to manage their accounts on both platforms simultaneously and transfer up to six months of individual chat history to the app.
