YouTube is experimenting with a new “Play Something” button on its Android app, allowing users to quickly start watching videos based on their viewing history and preferences. The button appears in the bottom-right corner of the app and launches a video in a vertical, Shorts-style player.
This feature offers a streamlined way for users to discover and engage with content without manual searching or scrolling. The “Play Something” button disappears when the mini-player is active, maintaining a clean interface.
The feature is currently in testing, and its wider release date remains unknown.
