Nothing has finally unveiled its much-awaited foray into the open-ear earbuds market with the launch of Ear (open). These unique earbuds showcase the brand’s distinctive semi-transparent design, while also prioritizing comfort and situational awareness for users who don’t require active noise cancellation.
Ear (open) feature a carefully engineered design, with speakers positioned outside the ear and a three-point balance system with silicone ear hooks for a secure fit. The earbuds boast 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers, promising a premium listening experience, and utilize Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless connectivity.
Battery life is impressive, with up to eight hours of playback from the earbuds themselves and an additional 30 hours provided by the charging case. The earbuds and case are also IP54 dust and splash resistant, making them suitable for various activities.
Nothing’s signature software experience is also on board, with the Nothing X app offering users the ability to customize EQ settings, controls, and even update firmware. Additional features like Find My network support, low latency mode for gaming, and ChatGPT integration (with a Nothing phone) add even more value.
The Nothing Ear (open) are available in a single white color and retail for $149/€149/£129. Pre-orders are open now on Nothing.tech, with open sales starting on October 1st.Sources and related content
