Amazon has announced a significant update to its popular Kindle lineup, introducing the fastest Kindle Paperwhite ever and a redesigned entry-level Kindle in a fresh new color. These new devices aim to provide an even more immersive and enjoyable reading experience for book lovers.
Kindle Paperwhite: A Speed and Performance Boost
The Kindle Paperwhite, a customer favorite since its launch in 2012, has received a major performance upgrade. Page turns are now 25% faster, making navigating through books and the Kindle store smoother and more responsive. The display features an oxide thin-film transistor for enhanced contrast, resulting in sharper text and images.
This generation also boasts the largest display ever on a Kindle Paperwhite, measuring 7 inches, while maintaining an incredibly slim profile. Battery life remains impressive, offering up to three months of reading on a single charge.
The Kindle Paperwhite is available in Black with 16GB of storage. The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition comes in Metallic Black with 32GB of storage, wireless charging capabilities, and an auto-adjusting front light for optimal reading in any environment.
Entry-Level Kindle Gets a Refresh
The entry-level Kindle has been redesigned with portability and affordability in mind. Weighing just 158g, it’s incredibly lightweight and easy to carry. Despite its compact size, it retains essential Kindle features, including a 300 ppi glare-free display, now with faster page turns and a brighter front light.
This new Kindle comes in a vibrant Matcha color and offers weeks of battery life on a single charge. With 16GB of storage, there’s ample space for thousands of books.
Sustainability and Availability
The new Kindle is available now for AED 449. The Kindle Paperwhite (AED 679) and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (AED 759) will be available later this month in the UAE.
