A new study by Brand Finance has declared Apple the world’s most valuable brand, with an estimated value of $574 billion. The annual Global 500 report, which analyzes thousands of brands across various sectors and countries, highlights Apple’s continued dominance in the brand landscape.
Brand Finance’s valuation methodology considers various factors, including a company’s overall financial performance, the contribution of the brand to its success, intellectual property, customer behavior, and brand perception.
The report reveals that US-based tech companies continue to dominate the top rankings. Microsoft secured the second position with a brand value of $461 billion, followed by Google at $413 billion and Amazon at $356 billion.
While tech giants hold the top spots, the report also highlights the strong performance of brands outside the tech industry. Retail giant Walmart secured the fifth position with a brand value of $137 billion, and telecommunications company Verizon ranked 15th with a value of $72 billion.
It’s important to note that brand value is distinct from market capitalization. While Apple’s brand is valued at $574 billion, its market capitalization stands at a staggering $3.56 trillion. Similarly, Microsoft’s market capitalization reaches $3.19 trillion, significantly higher than its brand value.
Brand Finance emphasizes that sustained brand growth is not exclusive to the tech sector. The report highlights that companies across various industries have demonstrated significant brand value growth since 2020.
Apple’s position as the world’s most valuable brand reflects its strong financial performance, loyal customer base, and iconic brand image. The company’s continued focus on innovation, design, and customer experience has solidified its position as a global leader in the tech industry and beyond.
