Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed spy thriller, Tehran, is set to return after an eight-month delay. The third season of the pulse-pounding series, which follows an intelligence agent operating undercover in Iran’s capital city, is reportedly scheduled to air on public broadcaster Kan as early as December.
The show’s return comes after production was halted earlier this year due to the conflict in Gaza. Concerns about a wider regional conflict impacting the series’ narrative led to negotiations between Apple and Kan to determine an appropriate release date.
Tehran stars Niv Sultan as Tamar Rabinyan, a highly skilled operative tasked with disrupting Iran’s nuclear program. When her mission goes awry, she finds herself trapped in Tehran, navigating a dangerous world of espionage and intrigue.
Season 3 promises even more high-stakes drama with the addition of Hugh Laurie to the cast. Laurie joins Glenn Close, who joined the series in Season 2, further enhancing the show’s ensemble.
While Apple has yet to officially confirm a release date for Tehran Season 3, the anticipated December premiere on Kan suggests that the wait for Apple TV+ subscribers may soon be over.
