Tesla is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles, including the 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y, to address an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system. The recall, initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), aims to resolve a problem where the warning light for the tire pressure monitoring system may not remain illuminated between drives.
Tesla plans to address this issue through a free over-the-air software update. Owners of affected vehicles can expect to receive notification letters by February 15, 2025.
This recall is the latest in a series of recalls and software updates issued by Tesla in the past year. The NHTSA has recorded seven recalls for the Cybertruck alone, addressing various issues such as faulty rear-view cameras, malfunctioning windshield wipers, and loose trunk beds.
