Amazon’s Prime Video is getting a complete facelift, transforming its user interface into a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. The most noticeable change is the elimination of the left-hand sidebar, which has been replaced with a horizontal navigation bar.
This new navbar is designed to simplify navigation and content discovery. The left side focuses on helping you find new content to watch, with personalized recommendations based on your viewing history. The right side, on the other hand, is dedicated to your existing subscriptions, including Prime Video channels like Max and Paramount+. This clear division makes it easier to distinguish between free and paid content.
Prime Video has also made it easier to manage your subscriptions. The new “subscriptions” section allows you to add or cancel channels directly within the app, as well as browse for deals and offers.
In addition to these interface changes, Prime Video is integrating AI to enhance your experience. A language model is now used to generate concise and informative descriptions for movies and shows, while machine learning algorithms provide tailored recommendations based on your viewing habits.
The redesigned Prime Video app is rolling out globally across all devices, so keep an eye out for the update on your preferred streaming device.
